Formerly a constituent college of the University of London, Commercial Property UK Imperial became independent of the university on 8
July 2007, the 100th anniversary of its founding.[9]
History

The origins of the various constituent elements of Imperial College
can be traced back as far as the fifteenth century. The College
of St Gregory and St Martin Commercial Property UK at Wye was originally
founded in 1447 as a seminary, with an agricultural college being
established at Wye in 1890s after the removal of the theological
college. Wye College merged with Imperial College in 2000.[10]
Charing Cross Hospital, Westminster Hospital and St Mary's Hospital
medical schools were opened in 1823, 1834 and 1854 respectively.[11][12][13]
The Royal School of Mines was founded Commercial Property UK by Sir
Henry de la Beche in 1851. This laid one of the the foundation stones
of scientific teaching in Britain. The Royal College of Science
was established in 1881 and the City and Guilds College in 1884.[11]
